Let us help you with the verified gross mass for your container

In order to provide effective handling and good service at the port in connection with SOLAS introducing changes to VGM requirements, CMP is now offering a facility to issue VGM (Verified Gross Mass) certificates. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has amended the Safety of Life at Sea Convention (SOLAS) to require, as a condition for loading a packed container onto a ship for export, that the container has a verified weight. The shipper is responsible for the verification of the packed container’s weight. The VGM documentation needs to be provided to your carrier prior to loading your cargo onto ships. This requirement is legally effective from July 1, 2016.

Latest and accurate weight data for your container is available via this CMP VGM website.
